During each lesson, participants receive a worksheet and at least one handout.  They also receive a recipe in each lesson.  The participant folders are designed to be a safe place for participants to store and transport these materials.  At the end of each lesson, participants set personal goals related to lesson content.  At the beginning of the subsequent lesson, educators lead participants in a discussion about how they did at reaching their goals.  Participants are encouraged to review the goals that they set in the previous lesson on their worksheets.  For this reason, the participant folders are considered an essential material for teaching Eating Smart • Being Active.
