The Educator’s Guide to Implementing Eating Smart • Being Active is designed to help the educator become familiar with the curriculum and provides tips for teaching successful classes.

Maternal and Infant Lesson Plans (below), $14.75 each

In addition to the nine core lessons, Eating Smart • Being Active offers 3 Maternal and Infant Lesson Plans for teaching pregnant and new moms maternal and infant nutrition education.

Eating Smart • Being Active During Pregnancy is for women in the early stages of pregnancy, and include:

  • Receiving regular prenatal care
  • Appropriate weight gain, nutrition during pregnancy
  • Physical activity for pregnant women.
How Will I Feed My Baby is for women in the late stages of pregnancy and include:
  • Information about breastfeeding and formula feeding
  • How to safely feed infants
  • Hunger and fullness cues

Feeding Your Baby Solid Foods is for women with young infants (2-3 months old) and include:

  • Introducing and feeding solid foods
  • Appropriate consistencies of solid foods
  • Food safety
